Nobody shreds a bass like Megadeth’s David Ellefson, and the Jackson Custom Shop now honors the fleet-fingered metallurgist with a 60-piece limited edition tribute model. The Jackson David Ellefson Concert Bass Rust in Peace 20th Anniversary Limited Edition is based on the fearsome instrument that Ellefson played during the 2010 20th anniversary tour commemorating landmark 1990 Megadeth thrash-terpiece Rust in Peace.
The sleek neck-through-body bass comes in four-string and five-string models, both of which are available in Black and Quicksilver finishes. Features include an alder body, oil-finished quartersawn maple neck, compound radius ebony fingerboard (12” to 16”) with 21 jumbo frets and abalone shark fin inlays, Ivoroid neck and headstock binding, EMG® 35 DC bridge pickup (EMG® 40 DC on five-string model) and EMG® 35 CS bridge pickup (EMG® 40 CS on five-string model) with three-way pickup switching and EMG BQS electronics, Badass bridge, graphite nut, black hardware, non-locking Hipshot tuners, and Ellefson signature and fallout shelter logo wood-burned on the back of the headstock.
Special extras include a custom Rust in Peace G&G case embroidered with the Jackson logo and Ellefson’s fallout shelter logo and signature, Ellefson picks, a pair of Ellefson wrist bands, a certificate of authenticity signed by Ellefson and Master Builder Mike Shannon.
