About the Artist

David Oliver always knew he was an artist and his recognition began at an early age. As at teen he won a scholarship to the University of Hawaii. Graduating with a B.F.A. Sculpture, he enrolled in the Graduate degree program at the University of Colorado. Graduating with a Masters in Fine Arts, he accepted a teaching position at the University while hosting numerous one man shows, invitational shows, and publications. His work is in the permanent collection of the Denver Art Museum, Dr. Mucci, Chip Foose, Barry McGuire ( Car Crazy) and various art collectors.

Always searching for new means of expression, David moved to California and attended the Institute for Papermaking in Northern California. Immediately, he was draw to the naked beauty of the medium and adapted his training to the art of casting from a mold. After hosting a one man show in Florida he was offered a teaching position in Florida.

The iconic imagery of his art is based upon a life long interest in music and the guitar.

After a successful career in the printing industry, David has returned to his favored media to provide these stunning sculptural artifacts that communicate a simple visual message- “ Now, that is Cool”.

The white framed lightweight molding is set in a black frame with a back drop measuring 21" X 17" X 3".
