Spotlight Music has every music store  beat that I've done business with since the 1970's, going from coast to coast.  I say this sincerely based on how they constantly take care of my music needs, and especially how they relate to me on a personal level. Even though I've only been a steady customer for just over a year, when I walk through the doors of Spotlight Music, it's like Norm walking into Cheers.
It hasn't made a difference whether I am just there to browse (like I usually do) or having one of those happy occasions that I can actually buy something! Most of my purchases with Spotlight Music have been low dollar purchases for little tedious items. I remember one occasion that an employee, Joe, took the time to go through several storage bins and parts drawers to help me match up a knob for my vintage 1977 Fender bass. He refused to give up until he found what I was hoping for.  This type of relentless pursuit to help out a customer is rare in the music store business.
What has been equally impressive to me is observing the Spotlight  employees interacting with other customers. Whether the customer is a child just starting out or an old seasoned pro, they get treated with the same high level of attention and enthusiasm. To watch this staff demonstrate positive people skills with their diversified customer base is something worth mentioning. (Oct 2011)
