The Synergy Mali Art Djembe is simply a beautiful instrument. It is hand turned via lathe from a single piece of environmentally friendly plantation-grown mahogany. The hand drum's tuning, head, and sealing make it a great choice among the world of djembes that won't let you down. The inside has lateral grooves and rough-surface inner shell carvings that reduce interior swirling overtones which also helps focus fundamental pitches. Those pitches come more easily with a solid piece of tone wood that has been kiln dried then sealed with twenty coats of teak oil. Applied in these quantities, premium sealers act both as a protection agent and promoter of defined pitches. And locating and locking those pitches is made easier by means of a hand-selected authentic goatskin head, seated by a braided hoop and tensioned via network of interlaced Alpine rope strengthened by woven cores.
